We are a law firm of five attorneys, including our three principals, and have an excellent support staff with extensive experience in the areas of criminal law, grand jury investigations, administrative law and general civil law and litigation. Our proven track record and level of experience provides a reassurance that is rare among Tallahassee law firms.
Prior to graduating from the Florida State University College of Law with honors in 1988, our co-principal, attorney Stephen S. Dobson, III, served with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement as a Special Agent, Special Agent Supervisor and Inspector. Florida Trend magazine referred to him as in the top two percent of Florida's lawyers in their "State's Legal Leaders as named by peers." Both he and co-principal lawyer William H. "Bill" Davis are AV-rated* lawyers under the Martindale-Hubbell's peer review rating system.
Stephen Dobson served as a Special Agent with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, and as an Assistant United States Attorney before turning to private practice in criminal law. Our third principal lawyer, Richard H. Smith served as an Assistant State Attorney and Assistant Attorney General prior to entering private practice.
